On June 19 and 20, 2027, Scheveningen beach once again transforms into a buzzing beach rugby weekend. On Friday, June 18, we kick off with youth clinics for schools in The Hague — part of Sportzomer Den Haag — where 450 young people get their first taste of the sport. Then, on Saturday and Sunday, the tournament itself kicks into gear: serious competition, top-level play, and an atmosphere you won't find anywhere else in the Netherlands.

Who we are
We are Stichting North Sea Beach Rugby. For years we've built, with real passion, the most beloved and most competitive beach rugby event in the Netherlands — with an eye for every detail and a love for the sport. Our goal: to create a stage where teams compete at the highest level, from ambitious youth teams to driven seniors.
We don't stop at our own beach. We're putting Dutch beach rugby on the international map too. That's why we founded the Dutch National Beach Rugby team, which competes at the Rugby Europe Championship — proof that our ambition reaches far beyond Scheveningen.
Rugby with impact
Rugby connects people — and we put that power to work beyond the beach. Through Harde Leerschool ("Hard School"), we give young people a springboard to confidence and social participation through coaching and training. We also support local rugby initiatives and actively work to grow the sport across the Netherlands.
North Sea Beach Rugby is made possible in part by Den Haag Topsport — the city that has grown into a leading coastal city for elite sport in recent years.

- Affiliated with Rugby Nederland (the Dutch Rugby Federation) and the European Beach Rugby Association (EBRA)
- Matches count towards the Dutch Championship and the European Series
