DUTCH CHAMPIONSHIP BEACH RUGBY AND PART OF THE EUROPEAN BEACH FIVES SERIES
A STRONG BEACH FIVES RUGBY EVENT ON THE BEACH
North Sea Beach Rugby is a national and international beach rugby event held in the unique The Hague Beach Stadium on Scheveningen beach. The Beach Rugby tournament in the Hague acquired (inter)national status with the recognition of EBRA (European Beach Rugby Association) and the Dutch Rugby Union. North Sea Beach Rugby is now officially part of the European Beach Fives Rugby circuit. And of course the Dutch Championship Beach Rugby.
BEACH FIVES RUGBY IS CHARACTERIZED BY SPEED AND STRENGTH
Rugby is practised in many forms. The best known are of course the matches in the Six Nations tournament with big names of France, England, Scotland and Ireland. Global rugby is one of the world’s biggest sports and Beach Fives Rugby is an emerging component in the rugby calendar. Instead of 15 or 7 players in Beach Rugby there are 5 men or women on the pitch. Beach Rugby with five players (Beach Fives) is a straightforward and easy-to-understand contact sport. The official rules of the game at North Sea Beach Rugby are clear and specially made to make everything revolve around speed and excitement.
Beach Fives Rugby - The only original form of Beach Rugby recognized by World Rugby and Rugby Europe.
North Sea Beach Rugby is member of the EBRA (European Beach Rugby Association) and Rugby Netherlands and the tournament is on on the national and international calendar. Thanks to the commitments, advice and / or support of multiple sports organisations such as Den Haag Topsport, Rugby Academy Southwest, EBRA (European Beach Rugby Association) and the Dutch Rugby Association the event has become very successful.
