NORTH SEA BEACH RUGBY - INTERNATIONAL
AND NATIONAL TOPTEAMS, RUGBY ACADEMY...
Seniors (men and women) and youth teams (Rugby Academies and/or clubs – aged U14 and U16) can play Beach Fives Rugby at the North Sea Beach Rugby tournament. Match rules, playing field size, etc. is the same for every category. A team that signs up consists of up to 12 players and 3 coaches. Our experience is that a team with at least 10 players is best to benefit the most from the two-day tournament. This way, you can continuously exchange players during the intensive matches.
Beach Fives Rugby is played according to the EBRA and IRB rules under guidance of competent national and international referees. It is important to study the rules carefully.
RUGBY TOP ATHLETES
For elite athletes and top athletic teams, rugby sports mean the world; and they compete not only at the national level, but also at the European and World level. Aspiring Dutch athletes can optimally prepare for a career in rugby under ideal conditions at institutions like the Rugby Academy ZuidWest. In addition to regular schooling, they train daily (at Segbroek College, for example). In recent years, this has clearly produced successes, and many rugby talents are now playing all over, even in South Africa.

SPORT ALSO IMPORTANT AT THE MULTI-DAY BEACH RUGBY EVENT
People of all levels can participate in grassroots sport, which is often intended to get people (back) up and moving. And, it is not only the exercise that is important, it is also the fun of being active around other people. Grassroots sport is any form of sport or game that is not regarded as an elite sport. Grassroots sport is appropriate for novices and accessible for everyone, and it is often successfully targeted towards kids and youngsters. North Sea Beach Rugby will soon get involved in things like school outreach in The Hague to drum up enthusiasm for the game of rugby. Reasons being, rugby is good for building social skills, learning to work together, team spirit, and fostering respect for one another.
